ResMed Respiratory Product VPAP S User Guide

VPAPS
The next level in bilevel
The VPAPS is a compact bilevel device designed to deliver effective
and comfortable therapy. VPAP S uses ResMed’s patented Easy-Breathe
motor to make breathing easier for patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA),
noncompliant CPAP users and those who require additional
ventilatory support.
Big performance in a small package
The system is exceptionally compact and convenient, making it ideal for
travel or home use.
Featuring the Easy-Breathe motor, ResMed’s new technology, VPAP S
offers nearly silent therapy, so patients and their bed partners can
sleep peacefully throughout the night. In fact, the VPAP S is 75%
quieter than competitive bilevel devices.
The high-performance H4ihumidifier offers best-in-class
humidification for comfortable therapy that is easy to
use on a nightly basis.
Comfortable, effective treatment
In CPAP mode, optional EPR(expiratory pressure
relief) decreases pressure upon exhalation for
more comfortable therapy. In S (spontaneous)
mode, two treatment pressures are set for
inspiration (IPAP) and expiration (EPAP).
In addition to traditional spontaneous bilevel
therapy, VPAP S features ResMed’s Vsync™
leak management algorithm, TiControlbreath
synchronization control, and trigger and cycle
sensitivity to further synchronize with patients.
Consequently, VPAP S provides unparalleled
bilevel therapy treatment.
Rich data options
VPAP S is incredibly reliable and compatible with the
S8 ResLink, ResScanand S8 ResTraxx. Built-in ResScan
data card capability makes objective measurement of treatment
use and treatment effectiveness simple and straightforward, while
enabling you to access data and update therapy settings.
Easy-Breathe
The choice is easy.
